I got this from going to a sexworker eg me being scared of STD so the clear answer is yes, stress/anxiety can def cause this.

You are obviously not going far with 2-3 weeks of stretching neither with static stretching nor DCT. Stick at least 6 month to it.

Really? I was under the impression there is much debate as to whether Trigger Points are real. https://www.painscience.com/articles/tr ... doubts.php

No, not whether they are real, but what exactly they are. From your link's author:
The clinical phenomenon commonly called “trigger points” is all too real, but still unexplained. I have moderate science-based confidence in the “tiny cramp” theory of trigger points.

To answer your question, I am doing better. I am not quite where I want to be, but that is mostly my fault. I started doing DCT, right about the time my schedule at work changes for about 6 months. There are some weeks I am averaging over 70hrs at work. So it's been difficult to dedicate the full effort needed to do it correctly. When mid to late October comes around, I will jump right in. I am not going to lie, the chief complaint about DCT, is that it could cause flareups to get much worse before it gets better, with a lot of waxing and waning in between. But I guess that is the same to be expected with trying things other than DCT, as I already know.

Here are the positive things I have seen. Urinary issues have always been my primary concern. Depending on the day, I can say it's better in a range of 40-80%, but even on a bad day with a flareup of urgency symptoms, things calm down within a couple of hours. Worst case scenario, things calm down within 24 hrs. Before it would last days and possibly over a week. As far as pain goes, sitting for long periods, sex and bowel movements still may cause a flareup, but they don't last as long. Generally I can expect those to subside in a few hours or less if it happens, as long I don't sit idle or keep having sex without a break. Bowel movements?? Well you have no control over those, so you just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

I will say it again here and elsewhere. DCT is a lot of work and takes a lot of dedication. Some people make the claim that it is the - "CURE"!! I will not make that statement, only because I know that nothing is guaranteed, and that I am not cured of anything yet. But I do believe it has been a helpful tool in my journey with this horrible condition and all the different symptoms we all feel. The battle is difficult for me, because even before CPPS hit me, I have been dealing with possibly Fibromyalgia. I feel like a truck hit me everyday, which also makes it difficult to look forward to feeling all warm and fuzzy about the dedication needed to do DCT. In closing, I just feel better since I started doing DCT, and look forward to pushing forward with dedicating more time to it over the next couple of months.

You're 50, suffer from CPPS and work 70 hours. I’d also feel like a Truck hit me LOL. You gotta chill dude.

Hey Neo... Believe it or not, work has been the best medicine for me. Even better than DCT. Work used to be my biggest problem in life up until 2yrs ago. I made some changes. Sure I work more, but I'm the happiest I have been in 3 decades there. The job is now actually helping me to chill out when it comes to life in general lately. I'm sure it's also responsible for my symptoms easing up a bit. I just wish I could feel that way when I am at home where I should feel more relaxed. I wasn't working all those hours 20 yrs ago when I started feeling like a truck hit me. Remember... I don't sleep. For me, it's more stressful wasting away the hours, staring up at a dark ceiling, not being able to sleep. When I put in all those hours, I actually can crash and get some sleep in when I get home. It's the only time my mind wants to shut down.

Thanks ChgoGuy, seems DCT could be beneficial for you, and it's necessary for you to dedicate enough time for that.

Chris,
I have not given a second try to DCT.
I did try Ketamine infusions, to no avail.

I've started stretch exercises for about one month. I'm about 20% better. I recommend you to start the stretch exercises. NeoKortex experience can be beneficial.

Chriss,
it includes a set of videos, some are theoretical (Nic laying out his method, David taking his experience, etc.), and some are practical, actual exercise routines. Of these, the most important are the DCT Muscle Tension Release Routine (32 min), and the DCT Fascial Tension Release Routine (33 min). The first one you have to perform 3 days a week, the second 5 days a week. There is also a DCT Assisted Stretch Routine (to be performed with a partner), Abdominal Strengthening for PSOAS Release, and a Monkey Bar Workout.
They don't send anything. Once you pay, you get a password that gives you access to all the online materials.

You also get access to a Facebook group where people discuss their progress, etc. And I think you are entitled to a video-conference with Nic and David.
