PT in Melbourne Australia

Post by jatheral »

After I got HITP from Amazon in the UK I started calling around PT's in Melbourne and was referred to the Womens and Mens Health Physiotherapy (http://www.wmhp.com.au/Our%20Services.htm). They mostly specialise in Pelvic floor rehabilitation but as I found out they are very aware of Dr Wise and HITP and are happy to provide internal work to reduce tension.

First visit they asked me if I had read the book, kinda smiled and said I just got off the phone with Dr Wise while I was waiting in the car (had to test the new car kit out thought no better time). I've just had a flare up after doing so well, and my PT was kind enough to reassure me that it does happen and she can see improvement in my pelvic muscles and responding better to when she asks me to relax.

I'm attending the Dr Wise clinic in about a week and am apparently the talk of the clinic as I'm the first to do it that they know of.
Age:32 | Onset Age:32 after non consensual sex and an agonizing 3 months of waiting and stressing for test results (all clear). Had a uti and numerous tests for STD's. | Symptoms: Lower back pain, groin, glut, ham string and quad muscle pain, burning penile pain, perineum, rectal pain. | Helped By:Yoga, Valium (2mg every couple of days), stretches, hot bathes, meditation, PT internal. | Worsened By: Stressing about this, antibiotics (adverse reaction which has buggered my muscles and nervous system), coffee, sitting at work for too long

Thank you very much for posting this! Please do let us know how it goes with this physio. We haven't had many contacts to offer in Australia, and so this would be a great resource.

Also, best of luck at the Wise-Anderson Protocol clinic. I hope you find it enjoyable and productive. Welcome in advance to the States.
