Caution Alert : Mark Swain, Pavlos Georgiadis, Orion Probe
Along with the website chronicprostatitis.org, take note, avoid these entities. The PR paid articles talking about "groundbreaking cures" is the tell.

Re: Caution Alert : Mark Swain, Pavlos Georgiadis, Orion Probe
Hi there,
First of all, let me commend this forum for its dedication to providing patients with a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into maintaining a well-documented and valuable resource, and I sincerely appreciate that.
I wish our introduction could have happened under better circumstances, but I feel it’s important to address the concerns raised.
I am related and also work with Dr. Georgiadis (and have been a patient myself). It's extremely rare (pretty much the second time) we have ever written on a forum simply because we do not feel we will have the time to commit to answering properly, and please show some understanding to delayed responses. This post was recently brought to our attention, hence the response now.
Now with this being said, we feel you branded Dr. Georgiadis, Mr. Swain and the Orion probe (three different teams trying to help patients in their own way), prematurely, to say the least. If your reasoning is that you disagree with the methodology and the theory behind the treatment, I would kindly ask that you at least have a discussion with me first. We are aware that our approach contradicts (and challenges) the status quo, but we have thousands of objective data to be confident about it, and we are pushing for a peer reviewed study with academia.
We have always been transparent, open to scrutiny (as long as it's not with clearly malicious intent) and are open about the weaknesses but also the strengths of our approach, and we are more than happy to discuss this.
As for Mark, who is a British former patient, and came all the way from Australia to Greece (skeptical as most patients are, after visiting many "top" doctors without effect), did his treatment and documented the whole process (from first visit to post-treatment), with exams throughout from beginning to the end, which he also included in his book. He also got to meet many other patients at the clinic, whose stories he documented and shared. You cannot get more authentic than that. Again, branding him and his work the way you did was premature.
With regards to the articles that you mention - we only recently hired a publicist to help spread awareness (organically) and help with SEO.
Closing, for the sake of fairness, I would ask that you (for now at least) change the title of this post, as it is libel (against three different parties), at least have a discussion with us first on this matter, and then scrutinize us. I know you do not mince your words, but I also have a feeling you will be fair and hopefully open-minded, which can result in a productive discussion (even if we ultimately disagree). Our ultimate goal is add objectivity where there is subjectivity (which is why we think prostatitis research is at the current state it is), and eventually convert prostatitis into a curable condition for everyone.
Best,
A

Hello Antonios, I have altered some of the wording to be less attacking.
Everything depends on that! We all await progress in this area. This is the only way to gain credibility.Antonios wrote:we are pushing for a peer reviewed study with academia
