Hi all,
during my latest urologic exam (I hope that was the last one as now I discovered Dr.Wise's book), the doctor told me to avoid drinking beers in Italy (my home country) as they have a number of additives and undergo the pasteurization process.
On the other side he told me to drink as much beer as I like in Germany (or in general outside Italy) because there are no additives or pasteurization.
Has anyone of you come across such issues? Is there good beer and bad beer? Does anyone know about which additives may impact chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms?
Thanks a lot, good luck to everyone!

I generally advise men to stop drinking all alcohol while they are trying to get better. Some men find that alcohol helps them relax, but for most it's a bad idea.

I've found that there is a backlash effect. Works well, then comes back with a vengance later the next day.
