Eliminating Gluten Helps!

Post by Rocker1984 »

So I've been experimenting with eliminating Gluten from my diet. So far I have been 2 and a half days without wheat and can already feel the effects. Frequency has been drastically tamped down, post ejaculatory pain has gone down a bit, and my bladder is starting to feel not as swollen. Only problem is that the food doesn't satisfy me as much. Still these results are encouraging. I'll keep you guys updated.

About the lack of satisfaction: that is a well known withdrawal symptom from a problem food. It's a good sign !

If you read the Brostoff book you'll see that we become "addicted" to foods that our immune systems dislike because of a complex mechanism that involves an antibody-antigen response to these foods.

Stick to the diet.

So it's been a little over 2 weeks and I'd like to find out if this is continuing to make a diference or not. Should I go on a 1 day wheat binge and see how it affects my system? (I may or may not be looking for an excuse to go get a slice of deep dish haha.)

Yes, you should notice some symptoms somewhere if wheat/gluten is a problem.

You know its funny since I barely eat wheat anymore (or bread for that matter) I do get cravings to eat bread more then any food. Its definitely not about the carbs because I don't crave a lot of other high carb foods as much as I do bread. In my case it might not be about just the wheat because my bread cravings are also for breads not made from wheat such as millet. Its interesting to note that such cravings do not occur if I cook wheat/rye/barley/millet in a porridge form. Maybe it has something to do with the way the grains are cooked, I don't know.
Age: 25 | Onset Age: 19 | Symptoms: cloudy white urine (most frequently in the colder months of the year), pain in testicles (very infrequent and mild nowdays, used to be 24/7 and bad for like at least 1 1/2 years), pain in lower back (now virtually nonexistant, used to be 24/7), muscle spasm in perineum area (during sexual activity, extreme stress/injury, sneezing, and when changing position when lying down), dribbling after urination, weak urine stream, a feeling of not emptying completely after urination, sometimes hesitancy starting, golfball feeling in rectum at times (usually relieved/lessened by defecation), premature ejaculation, little pleasure when ejaculating too quickly from masturbating, weak erections most of the time (and even if they have some strength sometimes, usually it goes limp after a few minutes), white particulate matter in semen most of time, | Helped By: Relaxation | Worsened By: ejaculation, or any kind of sexual activity, especially prolonged arousal without touching my genitals, spicy foods, hard excercises, prolonged sitting
