Re: Dynamic Contraction Technique DCT Therapy thread
You're 50, suffer from CPPS and work 70 hours. I’d also feel like a Truck hit me LOL. You gotta chill dude. Hey Neo... Believe it or not, work has been the best medicine for me. Even better than DCT. Work used to be my biggest problem in life up until 2yrs ago. I made some changes. Sure I work more...

Re: Dynamic Contraction Technique DCT Therapy thread
Please Update the result about your DCT To answer your question, I am doing better. I am not quite where I want to be, but that is mostly my fault. I started doing DCT, right about the time my schedule at work changes for about 6 months. There are some weeks I am averaging over 70hrs at work. So it...

Re: AUA 2019 Meeting in Chicago
It's good to know that transgender surgery takes more importance over prostatitis. Interesting that you say that! My insurance kept trying to deny me PT, but PT for pelvic pain was being denied at the instruction of my employer, and not so much the insurance company. However my employer will pay fo...

Re: Has anyone tried ketamine infusion
eltenso - To be fair, I think there is some disagreement amongst those doing DCT, myself included. Many of those in the FB group feel the psychological aspect either doesn't exist or isn't important. I for one know what was going on in my life leading up to where I am today, and I can't deny that th...

Re: Dynamic Contraction Technique DCT Therapy thread
$280 is the price. I think it would not be right for me to discuss the exercises. There is a reason there is a price attached to it for which others and myself had to pay for that information. Over the years, I know you have had people ask "Why do Anderson and Wise charge so much for a trip to ...

Re: Dynamic Contraction Technique DCT Therapy thread
It's too early for me to give an overall opinion of it. That would be unfair. But unless it's purely coincidental, I have been able to minimize or shut down a flareup in a short period of time before I leave for work in the morning. Since most of my bowel movements are first thing in the morning aft...

Dynamic Contraction Technique DCT Therapy thread
The paradoxical relaxation does not work for me, or any other method of relaxation, for that matter. Actually, I believe that my inability to relax is a the bottom of this disorder... I purchased the DCT course for Pelvic Floor dysfunction, but I gave up pretty soon. It is a really demanding regime...

Re: Nocturia presentation
Thanks for posting! This is basically where I am at, at the moment. In the next few weeks I will be working with my Urologist to figure this out. Our last discussion pretty much mirrored this audio, but in an easier to understand and compressed form. I really believe the frequent urination keeps my ...

Re: Botox used to ease pelvic pain
It's still very new, no insurance coverage I would guess. I'm assuming you mean not covered by insurance? I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is. I thought the Urologist told me that you have to go thru all the other steps and treatments before they would cover it. The same I believe for an implantab...

Re: Laxative Linaclotide may inhibit cross-talk in pelvis
Your brain and how it's wired plays a big part in this. So I doubt neuroplasticity would apply to just how the brain may function after a concussion. That's the way I see it anyway.

Re: Botox used to ease pelvic pain
ppp - What I don't like, is that lets say it works for 6-12 months this time, what are the chances it will work the next time or the time after? Sooner or later, if you keep doing it, you're bound to roll the dice and not get the outcome you're expecting. It's always going to be a gamble.

Re: Laxative Linaclotide may inhibit cross-talk in pelvis
Yes, murine only at this stage, and drug very expensive, so not many people can afford to try it. I searched the drugs allowed with my insurance, and Linzess is definitely on the list of drugs I can get, however 2 things: 1) Being Open Enrollment, that list will probably change come Jan. 1st 2019. ...

Re: Laxative Linaclotide may inhibit cross-talk in pelvis
I have to run out for therapy and to see the doctor today and take care of some business at work. I really could only scan thru it. My understanding is that the trial were only done on mice and not humans correct? Or did I miss read something or misinterpret it. I was told I had IBS about 22 yrs ago...
