Re: Zinc-associated biomarkers for nonbacterial prostatitis
Interesting. I stopped taking zinc a little while ago because I felt like it wasn't doing anything, but over the longer term my symptoms have been getting slightly worse since then. Re: Mirodenafil shows some promise
Considering the lack of efficacy of antibiotics in CPPS, levofloxacin can practically be considered a placebo here. However, that doesn't rule out an interaction between levofloxacin and mirodenafil in the experimental group.

Re: CNS Changes in Pelvic Pain Syndromes
Interesting. Next step is to see if particular treatments help reverse these CNS changes. I'd love to see if, say, quercetin, which supposedly acts only on the peripheral level, provokes a reversal of CNS changes that correlated with symptom abatement.

Peer-reviewing is run by the journals themselves. Journals that just want to make money won't do peer-reviewing or will do a really simple one.Wolfcub wrote:What's happened to peer-reviewing? such a shame.

Re: Zinc reverses NMDA-related hyperalgesia/allodynia in mic
Especially for those who consume alcohol, as ethanol can reduce zinc absorption in the intestines and increase zinc & magnesium excretion (Mg is another important modulator of NMDA receptors). I had a few beers tonight for the Superbowl, and although my pelvic floor pains remained about the same...
