Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS
I thought about going back for more after the initial 6. I suppose if I had unlimited resources I would do it just to see what happens. But with zero improvement after 6, the Urologists left it up to me, telling me he would have expected some improvement if it was the right way to go. I'm back to Dy...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS
Thanks. Maybe worth going all out and doing 12 or even 24 sessions. I stopped after 6.

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS
Thank you for this. Please excuse my extreme delay in replying. Usually when I am feeling ok, I try to stay off the forum and when I have a massive flair, then here I am again looking for answers. Is this basically the same concept? https://www.storzmedical.com/en/disciplines/urology/product-overvie...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS
Thanks for this info and glad you feel you are on the right track. Here's the thread about LISWT https://www.ucpps.men/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8574&p=50379&hilit=Low+Intensity+Shock+Wave+Therapy+LISWT#p50379 Seems like there was no follow up post advising of results. I will get in tou...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS
Hi Luxemburger, Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry you've had to deal with these very difficult symptoms. I'm confused on one point, how does ESWT differ from Low-Intensity Shock Wave Therapy (LISWT) or are they two names for the same thing? I've got another thread running under 'Frequency and Urgency'...

Re: Extracorporeal shock-wave therapy and CPPS
Luxemburger, are you able to post more info on this doctor? I'm in Thailand where the equipment to do this exists, but as I understand they use it for breaking up kidney stones and will probably think I'm crazy talking about using it on muscles. Did you experience some benefit from the treatment?

Re: Prostatitis Treatment Option in Thailand
Thanks LeoJohn30, but can't imagine these guys understand myofascial trigger points. I think their focus is all about the prostate. If I ever find anyone who understands this affliction and treats it successfully, I will post here. If anyone else finds, please do likewise. Thanks!

Prostatitis Treatment Option in Thailand
If anyone at any point becomes aware of anyone who provides treatment for non-bacterial prostatitis/pelvic pain in Thailand, please post here. Despite having some of the best hospitals in Asia (and some of the best massage therapists in the world), so far every urologist I have contacted is complete...
