Re: My Story

Gabapentin tolerance can become an issue for some people, and addiction is the other issue.

You need to be very careful at this point. You could be somewhat addicted already. If the drug is not helping much anymore, try to come off it.

The fact ...

Re: CPPS and Sciatica, my buttock hurts

By "RMI" do you mean MRI?

I don't think the conditions are necessarily related, because you have the typical anxious, high-strung disposition seen in many UCPPS patients. You're smart enough to have used our Tips to overcome the UCPPS. Well done. However, the leg length disparity and the piriformis ...

Re: About urethral symptoms

But the point is that you DID feel good some months ago. This condition typically waxes and wanes (goes up and down). Now symptoms are up. Wait a while and they will go down.

Meanwhile, if you read enough here and think a bit more about it, you will probably be able to identify the actual triggers ...

Re: Anyone have Hyperactive Testicles?

Symptoms flaring up after treatment is typical in the first stages of treatment, and actually a good sign. If you have a trigger point or spasming muscle anywhere in your body and you start poking and rubbing it, it will flare with pain, until eventually it subsides. I get them in my shoulders ...

Re: Why donate to this website?

I received this email today, attached to a donation, one of many such messages I have received over the years. I usually keep them private but this one was more direct and expressive than most, so I'll share it here:

Your website has helped me at some of my lowest times. I have never posted ...

Re: Strategies for tough medical diagnoses

Get imaging of the chest area, CT and/or MRI. Make sure no physical abnormality or growth in the chest cavity. And have a coronary angiogram (I presume he's had that already).
Despite your feeling that he is not an anxious type, this does initially sound like a possible case of panic attack ...

Re: Strategies for tough medical diagnoses

This is a fairly common occurrence, unfortunately. Specialists doctors tend to see problems as falling within their own specialty, and really talented general doctors (called General Practitioners in the UK and Family Doctors in the US) are as rare as hen's teeth.

The solution I found was to become ...

Hello Antonios, I have altered some of the wording to be less attacking.

Everything depends on that! We all await progress in this area. This is the only way to gain credibility.

Re: Anyone have Hyperactive Testicles?

Hi, I've been on a month-long trip through the US, a vacation if you will. Even I need to take breaks! 😉

Tennis ball on perineum will probably goose old trigger points and could flare you up. It points to a hypertonic pelvic floor, so there's your diagnosis! 👍

Re: Can’t find suitable alternative to Prostate PQ product

Sophora japonica is a common source of quercetin, and should be okay. I'm not sure of the UK situation regarding phytopharmaceuticals. Does the UK have a very respected vitamin brand that has been around for ages and everyone knows about? Otherwise I recommend this from UK Amazon:

Re: My story and symptoms

Yes, prostate adenoma is an old term for BPH. So old that it's only been mentioned on this site about 5 times in over 20 years. I'd forgotten the term and instead thought of 'polyp' which us what adenoma usually means.

If you have the LUTS (lower urinary tract symptoms) associated with BPH, think ...
